Stihl GTA 40 set | 4 AS 2 batteries & AL 5-2 charger

The GTA 40 is STIHL's first professional cordless tree trimmer for professional use. It belongs to the AS system and is powered by 2x AS 2 lithium-ion batteries. This machine is designed for use both on the ground and in the air*. It is ideal for tree care, professional gardening work, as well as for wood processing on construction sites and work in tree rows or pruning.  

The powerful EC motor and ¼” PM3 cutting chain ensure clean cuts, while the variable chain speed allows full control of the speed during use. The GTA 40 also features a gear cover with side chain tension adjustment, automatic chain lubrication and a tool-free chain oil tank with sufficient capacity for use with 6x AS 2 batteries. The soft, rubberized handle and top handle prevent slipping during use.

It is noted that the GTA 40 is designed for use with both hands. It can be used by both right-handed and left-handed people, thanks to the oscillation switch located on both sides of the machine. It also has a suspension ring for easy attachment to the belt, so it is always accessible, whether you are working on the ground or at height. In addition, a special GTA 40 case is available for quick access during work.  

The GTA 40 uses 2x AS 2 batteries, which are used in parallel. The tool cannot be used with just one battery. The charge level indicator is located on the top of the tool, in an easy-to-read position.

Certification to the IPX4 protection standard means that the GTA 40 and AS 2 batteries can be used in adverse weather conditions.

*Please note that the GTA 40 can be used by all users on the ground, but is certified for aerial use only by trained arborists.

**The case is not included in the simple version of the GTA 40, it is only available in the GTA 40 SET version.
